Gruveo Links are Getting Easier to Remember...

Good News!

There is now no need to remember the # if you are manually typing the link to your Gruveo call (unless you really want to add it, in which case it will still work).

Here's to making things even easier!

Text Chat Improvements

If your voice needs a break we are making text chat even better! You will be able to swipe to show and hide the chat box, and if you are an iPad user you will be able to chat in the sidebar instead of full screen. Automatic emoticon replacement is also coming 😉

User Interface Facelift

We are making the app look even prettier with a cool new semi-transparent controlbar. You will also always be able to see the time and how much battery you have left thanks to the visible system status bar. If you have an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus you may also notice we are now optimized specially for your screen.

Miscellaneous

Wondering how long you have been in a call? Wonder no more with our new call timer! You will also be able to drag your own picture and handily send or share the Gruveo call link right from your call waiting screen.

Coming Soon in Gruveo for iOS: Exciting New Features!

We have been adding some exciting new features to our iOS app lately, and we plan to release a new version in the coming weeks.

A major inconvenience of the current app is having to keep it open while waiting for your partner to connect. This will be solved with our new push notification feature, alerting you when the other party has joined. This makes Gruveo even easier to use on the go.

Among a multitude of other improvements, we will also be adding automatic emoticon replacement to chat 😉

Gruveo Now Available in Six More Languages

Here at Gruveo, our goal is to make easy video calling available to you no matter what language you speak. To that end, we just rolled out an update that adds 6 more languages to the Gruveo web app: Chinese (Simplified), Czech, Dutch, Finnish, Japanese and Korean.

Be on a lookout for more language translations, and feel free to suggest one!

Gruveo Instant Connect Comes to Firefox

Our popular Gruveo Instant Connect extension is now available for Firefox! Just like its Chrome counterpart released last summer, Gruveo Instant Connect for Firefox lets you generate a random call link with a click of a button and then easily share it with a friend.

In addition to quickly generating a call link, you can also create a calendar event for your call, or insert a Gruveo link into any text box with an easy to remember Alt+Shift+G keyboard combo (Option+Shift+G on a Mac).
