If you are logged in to Gruveo and are trying to call someone on their Gruveo link, the person on the other end will see your @handle. This feature is on by default to allow the person being called to easily return the call via Gruveo should they miss it.
Your handle is also included in any missed call notifications that the person being called may receive.
If you’d rather want your Gruveo handle to remain invisible, here’s how to do it:
- Go to the Settings page in your account on the Gruveo website.
- Click on the Notifications and Messages tab on the left.
- Uncheck the fourth option: Reveal your Gruveo @handle when making outgoing calls.
- Press the Save Changes button.
Your Gruveo handle will no longer be visible to whoever you’re calling. Instead, the people you call will see your approximate geographical location.
If you change your mind and decide you want your handle to be visible again, just follow the same steps to turn this feature back on.
